Microstick Plus

Microstick Plus is a cost effective additional peripheral panel for Microstick for dsPIC33F and PIC24H Development Board and Microstick II produced by Microchip Technology Inc. The original Microstick for dsPIC33F and PIC24H Development Board is designed to provide designers with an easy to use, economical development environment for 16-bit dsPIC® Digital Signal Controllers (dsPIC33F) and PIC® Microcontrollers (PIC24H). The  Microstick II development board is a next generation of Microstick for dsPIC33F and PIC24H Development Board. Microstick II delivers a complete development hardware platform for Microchip’s 16-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers and digital signal controllers. It’s the perfect solution to those looking for a low-cost, easy-to-use development platform. The Microstick tools contains only one test LED, it was designed to use with prototyping board together.

Those who does not want to use Microstick development boards with prototyping board together, those who wants to learn microcontroller programming on pre-tested peripherals, for those provides the Microstick Plus development board cheap, smart and a convenient solution. The Microstick Plus development board is a collection of peripheral devices like LEDs, button, pizzo buzzer, potentiometer, analog temperature sensor, capacitive PCB button, clock crystal, reference voltage generator, USB-UART converter, CAN-BUS driver and I/O expander for MCP220 USB-UART converter. The Microstick Plus development board can be easily connect to Microstick development board.

The main advantages of Microstick Plus development board are:

  • 11 different peripherals on one board - The board includes easily programmable peripheral devices and peripherals that require high programming knowledge too. Beginners and advanced programmers can found challenges for themselves in learning and training.
  • No external power supply needed - Devices which require 3.3V power supply can be powered form Microstick board (through I/O pin) or from USB connectors placed on development board. Devices which require 5V power supply are powered through the USB connector.
  • Compact design - 50 mm x 50 mm [ 1.97 inch x 1.97 inch ]The tool fits into the box of Microstick, so there is no need for separate storage.
  • Free code examples Free code examples are downloadable from the website help the work of beginners.
  • Low cost - During the planning of the development tool, we tried to develop the possibly cheapest tool, which is accessible also for students with low budget.
